We are committed to providing a comprehensive work placement program for students to assist in their education and employment prospects. Student placements are only available to tertiary and secondary students when it is a course requirement to undertake workplace learning.
Generally we accept applications for student placements in the following areas of Council:
*These areas within Council require current police checks to be sighted before the placement commences. Please be advised that it can take up to two weeks for the police check to be returned from Victoria Police.
Work experience students (secondary school students) may be paid a minimum of $5 per day in accordance with the Victorian Work Experience Arrangement. Work placement (tertiary) students are generally not paid for their placement unless through an industry based student program.
The quickest and easiest way is to apply online via our student placement application form.
