Council has a range of services and support for the Community to reduce their impact

• Recycling and waste disposal services
• E-waste collection days, where TVs and computers can be dropped off for recycling.  Look out for collection dates in Glen Eira News or the local Leader newspaper.
• Free shower head exchange
• Information kit for planning applicants, available at the service centre.

Council has a number of initiatives to reduce the impact of Council’s operations on the environment and to support the community to do the same.

Council has an Environment Advisory Committee that meets quarterly to provide advice to Council on sustainability issues

Showerhead Exchange Program Glen Eira residents wanting to swap their old showerhead, for a free, water efficient one, can now do so at Council’s Service Centre.

Sustainability Community Workshops We will be hosting the following community workshops on sustainability and the environment during March 2013.
