Early learning centres

Long day education care and specialist kindergarten programs

Our centres provide:

  • long day care early learning programs for children aged six months to three years old; and
  • funded specialist kindergarten program for four to five-year-old children.

Our specialist kindergarten program offers:

  • qualified and experienced kindergarten teachers;
  • a strong focus on learning and wellbeing;
  • beautiful, intimate established learning environments;
  • a responsive and collaborative high quality curriculum;
  • small group sizes (1:11), with greater access to the kindergarten teacher; and
  • strong relationships with children, families and the community.

Hours of operation

Our centres operate Monday to Friday between 7.30am and 6pm and are closed on public holidays and for a set period over Christmas and New Year.

Our learning environment

We are proud to support our centres in providing care and education in small community-focused settings.

We maintain an excellent staffing ratio and our educators receive specialised training and professional development in early education. We ensure that there is personal attention and respect for each child.

Our learning areas are carefully planned to encourage children to explore and build their creativity, initiative and independence.

Our early learning centres also help families access support and assistance for children with special needs and links to community support services.

Learning through play

Our educational programs include stimulating indoor and outdoor play experiences that support children’s development and growth.

Our community

With our small enrolment numbers and high staff ratios, we develop relationships with each child and the family. We invite you to get involved in the program. Our programs reflect the cultural diversity of our area and are respectful and inclusive.

Our educators

Our dedicated staff have specialist training and education in early childhood. They are experienced and passionate about their work.

Settling in

We know that when you first decide to enrol your child into a full day education and care centre it can be daunting. How will they settle? Will they be happy? How do I know that quality care and education is being provided?

Our educators will guide you through an orientation process prior to starting so that we can all get to know each other. This will help with familiarising your child into the program and allowing us to learn about your child’s interests and needs.

National Quality Standards

The Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority, ACECQA, is responsible for ensuring consistency in assessment and ratings across Australia.

Council’s three early learning centres have undergone an assessment and rating visit, and all received a rating of: Exceeding National Standards.
