International Day of People with a Disability is part of a worldwide celebration that occurs on 3 December each year.
To celebrate this day and showcase the skills, abilities, contributions and achievements of people with a disability, Council will host a barbecue lunch in the Bentleigh Rotunda, Centre Road in Bentleigh from 12pm to 1pm.
Council staff and local traders will be attending as well as local disability services.

Battle of the Bands 2009

Young people aged 12 to 25 are invited to attend Glen Eira City Council Youth Services Battle of the Bands 2009 on Friday 11 December.
Hosted by the Youth Consultative Group, the free event will be held at the Bentleigh-McKinnon Youth Centre, Higgins Road, Bentleigh, from 5pm to 10pm.
Come along and support our local musical talent.
Sponsored by World of Music, Battle of the Bands 2009 is a drug, alcohol and smoke free event. Bags will be checked at the door.
