Glen Eira City Council presents: Living Together, a celebration of Chinese, Greek and Indian cultures.
The Living Together event celebrates people from different cultures living together, side by side in the community. Glen Eira City Council presents this event to the community with three cultures represented; Chinese, Greek and Indian with the hope that once you have experienced a little you will seek to learn and experience more of what you have enjoyed and gain a greater understanding of your neighbours and the greater community.
Glen Eira is home to people from many different cultures and backgrounds and we hope that this event will give you an insight into our richness and diversity.
There will be entertainment on the main stage with dance and music performances, featuring, Greek band ‘Meltemi’ performing popular Greek music as well as bollywood fusion and traditional dance with Indian performance troupe ‘Tatva’ and the Melbourne Chinese Children's Choir.
There will also be special performances by Chinese, Greek and Indian community groups including; Chinese Fan dancing, Tai Chi, Indian Children’s singing, Chinese line dancing, and Greek children’s dancing.
